FCJHS and Sixth Grade Academy are participating in the Arkansas Teen Book Award. The first book that we will be reading and discussing is They Called Us Enemy by George Takei. If you are a virtual student, you may pick up your copy when you come for testing, or your parent may pick up a copy in the Jr High Office. We will hold a book talk during the week of April 19th. Expectations
- Virtual Classes Begin on Wednesday, August 26, 2020
- Students are required to participate via Zoom in their English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies classes daily according to their class schedules.
- Students are required to participate in their elective classes (Art, Health, Technology, Keyboarding, Physical Education, Music) via Zoom at least twice a week, according to their class schedules. 6th Graders will login to their elective classes on (Mondays and Wednesdays); 7th Graders will login their to elective classes on (Tuesdays and Thursdays) 8th Graders will login to their elective classes on (Wednesdays and Fridays)
- Daily Attendance will be taken, and parents will be contacted immediately if students fail to meet the class attendance requirements.
- Teachers will use Google Classroom to communicate with students and post assignments.
- Canvas/Virtual Arkansas will be used for 7th-8thGraders. Students will be provided with login information to access their accounts. The school counselor will provide support and guidance to students and their families who may experience technical support. Bernice.word@fcsd.
